Cabbagetown Short Film & Video Festival: Friday September 7, 2012, at 8 pm, Winchester Street Theatre. Featuring 16 films from around the world and around the corner – from Canada, Israel, Slovenia, Spain, Poland, the UK, and the USA. Tickets are $15. Advance tickets at the Cabbagetown BIA Office (237 Carlton St. at Parliament) and at the box office (80 Winchester) from 7 pm on September 7.

Blair’s Run: A 3km mini-marathon to support the Cabbagetown Youth Centre held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, $10. Registration starts at 8:30 am and race time is 9:15 am.

Cabbagetown Theatre Company: Live theatre for families of all ages staged in the beautiful chapel at the Necropolis, on Winchester Street across from Riverdale Park, Friday (at 7:30 pm) Saturday & Sunday (noon, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, 4 pm): Rapunzel – unbraided: a comedy for all ages. Art Around the Park: organized by the Don Vale Cabbagetown Residents Association, which features up to 32 artisans to exhibit their work and sell their wares along the DVCRA “Art Around the Park”.
